Abstract: Objective To investigate the optimal extraction process of chlorogenic acid (CGA) from Lepidogrammitis
drymoglossoides(Baker) Ching.MethodsHPLC was used to determine the quantity of CGA. Ultrasound extraction was
used. Single factor experiment, orthogonal experiments and analysis of variance were all taken to optimize the extraction
process, with CGA content as the index.ResultsThe regression curve for CGA analysis was Y3.72×10

). The optimal conditions for extracting were as follows: pH4.0, 70% ethanol con-centration, 30 min ultrasound extraction, 1 : 12 solid-liquid ratio, twice. The yield of CGA was 1.67% (n3). Conclusion
Single factor experiment and orthogonal test can help optimize the extraction process of chlorogenic acid, which lays the
foundation for industrial extraction and production of CGA from Lepidogrammitis drymoglossoides.
