The principles of Decomposed Injection Sculpturing （DIS） process are illustrated, and its feasibility is also demonstrated. On that basis, the special requirements of DIS process are presented. Several key problems including material choice, support material removal, the design and manufacture of special experimental device, the choice of the engraving tool are studied by theoretical analysis and experimental research.
