Comparing the defective model of the part which isgained by reversing engineering technology with the nor-mal model of metal part,the remanufacturing model isacquired,then the form ing remanufacturing is implementedcombined with GMAW welding process.Apparently.itwill be an important way for part remanufacturing。

In this paper,our recent research achievements and ourprospect on robotic GMAW forming remanufacturingtechnology are introduced。

2 Our recent research achievement2.1 Rapid remanufacturing forming systemexploitation based on robotic GMAW surfacingNational Key Laboratory for Remanufacturing has devel-oped a rapid remanufacturing forming technology based onrobotic GMAW surfacing to remanufacture damaged metalparts.The work principle of the rapid remanufacturingforming technology is shown in Fig.1[6]。

The part to rem anufacture is pretreated firstly.Then,theremanufacturing model is obtained by comparing damagedmodel with standard CAD model of part.Furtherm ore,the remanufacturing forming path plan is performed andfinally the rapid remanufacturing forming is carded out byGMAW surfacing process。

Figure 2 is the rapid remanufacturing form ing systembased on robotic GMAW surfacing.The rapid form ingremanufacturing system consists of four parts,the roboticsystem as implementing machine.a three-dimensional laserscanner as reversing system,GMAW surfacing depositionsystem and central control system 71。

垒SpringerS.Zhuremanufacturing forming technology is that the tempera-ture field in GMAW surfacing remanufacturing form ing isnon。uniform,which results in non-uniform stress,and thestress induces deformation.Figure 4 is numerical simula。

For the sake of ensuring remanufacturing part precision,a combination of additive and subtractive technique is usedto accomplish the deposition and the machining processesin the same setup.Figure 5 shows the remanufacturing netform ing process of damaged typical parts by GMAWsurfacing/CNC milling hybrid process。

3 Our work prospectRobotic GMAW forming remanufacturing technology witlmany merits such as high e伯ciency.1ow cost and goodquality of remanufactured products will become animportant remanufacturing technology and will be appliedto some weight load fields such as construction machinery,automobile.and shipping.While robotic GMAW formingremanufacturing technology needs develop in four aspects,including material,system,precision and perform ance.Asregards with material,at present,robotic GMAW formingremanufacturing technology mainly faces to stee1 materia1。

In the future.it will extend to some light metal materialsuch as aluminium,titanium.Next step developmentdirection of the forming remanufacturing system is auto。

mation,intelligence,digitalization and flexibility,whichwill control shape and perform ance more precisely。
