Through the collation of design, fabrication and inspection of driving turbine used in cracking gas compressor in 1.0 Mt/a ethylene plant, the parameters and characteristics of this turbine were introduced in detail in this article. The key points in the fabrication and inspection as well as the abnormal phenomena appeared in test running were described and analyzed. This turbine was passed the test finally, and the mechanical characteristics of this turbine had been proved being qualified with API612 standard.
