设计的主要内容整个热处理车间的设计过程。从热处理车间的分类和特性、热处理车间生产任务、工作制度及年时基数、工艺设计、热处理设备的选择与计算、车间设备组织与布置、热处理车间建筑物与构筑物、车间动力和辅助材料消耗量计算、热处理的生产安全与环境保护、热处理车间人员定额、热处理车间的建设投资及技术经济指标等方面，对热处理车间进行设计。从热处理技术的现状和水平，掌握其发展趋势，大力发展先进的热处理新技术、新工艺、新材料、新设备，用高新技术改造传统的热处理技术，实现优质、高效、节能、降耗、无污染、低成本、专业化生产”的方向上设计热处理车间。
