水溶性酚醛树脂基材料摩擦磨损性能

Two kinds of friction materials were prepared separately using water-soluble phenolic resin (PF)and attapulg- ite/boric acid modified water-soluble PF as the matrix. The thermostability of two kinds of water-soluble PF was investiga- ted by thermogravimetrie experiments, and the tribological performances of two kinds of friction materials were examined on a fixed-velocity friction tester. SEM was used to observed surface morphology of friction materials after friction test. The resuits show that the thermostability of attapulgite/boric acid modified water-soluble PF is better than that of water-soluble PF. The friction materials prepared using attapulgite/borie acid modified water-soluble PF as the matrix show the better friction stability and wear resistance. The corresponding influence of chemical modification on the tribological behaviors of water-soluble PF was analyzed based on the experimental data. The results show that the heat resistant modified resin has very little thermal decomposition in the friction process, so that the heat fade of friction materials is not apparent and friction coefficient is stable. After being toughened, the resin is difficult to form crack and fall off from friction materials, so the wear rate of materials is reduced.分别以水溶性酚醛树脂和凹凸土/硼酸改性水溶性酚醛树脂作为黏接剂制备出摩擦材料,考察2种水溶性酚醛树脂的耐热性,利用摩擦磨损试验机考察2种水溶性酚醛树脂基摩擦材料的摩擦磨损性能,并用扫描电镜观察试样磨损后的表面形貌,结果表明,经过凹凸土/硼酸改性后的水溶性酚醛树脂耐热性得到提高,利用其制备的摩擦材料能保持稳定的摩擦因数和较低的磨损率,在高温区域没有产生热衰退。基于实验结果分析化学改性对水溶性树脂材料摩擦学性能的影响机制,结果表明,在摩擦过程中,耐热改性后的树脂热分解的量少,材料的热衰退不明显,摩擦因数更加稳定,增韧后的树脂较难形成裂痕而脱落,降低了材料的磨损率。
